Weather during Ramadan 2027
February and early March bring mild, sunny days, occasional showers and cool nights: see Marrakech in February and in March. The fast is broken (iftar) at sunset, around 6:15 pm in mid-February and around 6:35 pm in early March in Marrakech.
What changes day to day
- Sights, museums and most restaurants for visitors stay open; some small cafés and snack bars close during the day.
- The afternoon pace slows; the souks liven up late in the day.
- At sunset the streets empty briefly for iftar, then the city stays lively until late at night.
- Some shop and office hours change.
Travelling respectfully
Non-Muslim visitors are not expected to fast. It is appreciated, however, to avoid eating, drinking or smoking conspicuously in the street during the day. Accepting an invitation to share iftar (harira soup, dates, chebakia pastries) is a wonderful experience.
